Narrated by Anas bin Malik (ra): Allah's Prophet (saw) used to say, "A disbeliever will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked, 'Suppose you had as much gold as to fill the earth, would you offer it to ransom yourself?' He will reply, 'Yes.' Then it will be said to him, 'You were asked for something easier than that (to join none in worship with Allah, i.e. to accept Islam), but you refused.'" (Bukhari)
Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho anho): Allah's Apostle (saw) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger." (Bukhari)
Narrated by Aisha (ra): Whenever Allah's Apostle (saw) was given the choice of one of two matters he would choose the easier of the two as long as it was not sinful to do so, but if it was sinful, he would not approach it. Allah's Apostle (saw) never took revenge over anybody for his own sake but (he did) only when Allah's legal bindings were outraged, in which case he would take revenge for Allah's sake. (Bukhari)
Narrated by Abu Huraira (ra): Allah's Apostle (saw) said, "If the people knew the reward for pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row (in congregational prayers) and found no other way to get that except by drawing lots they would draw lots, and if they knew the reward of the Zuhr prayer (in the early moments of its stated time) they would race for it (go early) and if they knew the reward of 'Isha' and Fajr (morning) prayers in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl." (Bukhari)

The Prophet (saw) said: "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:
- The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
- Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
- Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire." (Bukhari)
