`Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Prophet (PBUH) used to engage himself in I`tikaf (seclusion for prayers) in the mosque during the last ten nights of Ramadan till he passed away; thereafter, his wives followed this practice after him.

FOOD ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE I'TIKAFI'S
The IAGD BODs reviewed notes and observations from last year's I'tikaf and compiled a list of lessons learnt. As a result, the following was decided
For Iftar and Sahoor, each person in I'tikaf must make his own arrangements for food. The kitchen will be completely closed during this time, so there will be no food storage or preparation areas available. No one should randomly bring food for the I'tikaf participants without the approval of the I'tikaf Planning Committee or leave food in the lobby. Leftover food should not be left in the prayer hall or lobby. Pots and dishes should be removed immediately from the premises after every meal. The prayer hall should be kept clean at all times.
PLEASE REVISIT THIS PAGE SOON FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION.
